Loren & Kids // Father's Heart Series Family Session with Dad and Kids in Schwenksville, PA

I consider the Detweiler family my family. Yes, I am related to them somewhere along the line; second cousins? Third? I don't know, but they feel closer than that.
When Tanya said the kids wanted to fish in their backyard "crick" with Loren, I thought "heck yes!" If you know anything about this family, they are very outdoorsy and always up to something. Wade is the sweetest young man you'll ever meet and Brooke the most charming young lady.
Do you ever ignore your gut feeling? Well, instead of listening to my inner voice telling me to bring rain boots, I wore my sneakers. Tanya sacrificed her 6-sizes-too-small sandals to me so I could wade through the water to get these awesome shots. My jean pants were also soaked up to my waist, but it was ALL worth it!! It always is!
I loved watching Loren teach Brooke new things while Wade was so engrossed by fishing that we finished our session but he kept going! Haha, he insisted he catch a fish before the end of the night.
Once we were able to pull Wade out of the water, we hiked back up to their house and along the way heard some turkeys! The Detweiler's instinctively crouched down and started calling back to these wild beasts. It was a lot of fun, to say the least. ;)
