Josiah & Kari // In Home Maternity Lifestyle Session in Elizabethtown, PA

In home maternity session with dog and parents to be cuddled up on the family couch for their lifestyle portrait maternity photo shoot

Kari and I used to work together at a local gun shop. After I left the shop, my husband and I got pregnant, and shortly after having our son I learned that Kari was pregnant too!! When she reached out to me for their maternity photos, I was honored!

Kari is such a sweet, down-to-earth girl and I remember hearing so much about Josiah when we worked the front desk together. She would tell me how excited she was to marry him and from what I heard, they seemed perfect for each other.

I was invited to their house for their personal, intimate session celebrating their soon-to-be-born son, Atticus. This was the first time I met Josiah and let me tell you, I was right. They ARE perfect for each other. I love getting to know couples and observing how each one is different. Josiah and Kari were so naturally affectionate together and seemed calm in front of the camera because they just focused on each other, I didn’t even have to tell them anything! It’s so fun being a fly on the wall and capturing love just as it is.

I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoyed taking these photos. Ryder, their adorable, amazing dog, was constantly at their side which melted my heart. He’s gonna be such a good doggy-brother to Atticus. And it goes without saying that Josiah & Kari will be wonderful parents to their already abundantly loved son. It is without a shadow of a doubt that their love that continues to grow exponentially between them will overflow into their parenting.

Josiah & Kari, you guys are going to ROCK this. You’re the perfect parents for Atticus and he will be as blessed to have you as you are to have him. I am so beyond excited for you guys to experience the joy and fruitfulness that parenthood has for you. This is going to turn your world upside down, more than you can fathom, and it’s going to be fantastic!!!

Much, much love,

Joy
